Where is the tool?
What is this?
This is an in-browser HTML5 mass image cropping tool. The user loads a list of images and provides a desired size or aspect ratio. They are then shown the images one by one with a cropping mask which may be changed. When they are finished customizing the cropping masks they create and download a zip with the cropped and optionally resized images.
Why did I make this tool?
It is a common scenario, a web developer or designer wants images in a square aspect ratio, while you only have them in 16:10 ratio. You could pay the designer big dollars to crop and resize them or you can now use this online batch image cropping tool to easily do it yourself. It will only take a few seconds per image to customize the cropping mask and then you can download the cropped and optionally resized images in a zip file.
This tool is open-source.
I made the tool as free open-source software so you could deploy it to your own website or modify the source code to do things I haven’t thought of. See bulk-image-cropper at Github.
